We found ourselves inspired by the city's energy, from the shores of Ipanema to the neighborhood soccer courts known as favelas woven into everyday life. For our latest editorial campaign, we brought vintage rugs into the heart of Rio as a celebration of a life fully lived.

There is an energy to Rio that is impossible to ignore. Life spills into the streets. Music drifts from open windows. Conversations linger long after sunset. Everywhere you look, people are moving, gathering, playing, and expressing themselves. As the World Cup captures the attention of fans around the globe, there is no better place to draw inspiration than Brazil—a country where soccer is more than a sport; it's a source of culture, community, and self-expression. The game isn't just reserved for arenas here. It belongs to everyone.

As we explored the city, we found ourselves drawn to the soccer courts tucked within Rio's favelas—vibrant hillside neighborhoods known for their strong sense of community, colorful architecture, and deep connection to the beautiful game. Perched above the city streets below, some courts were brightly painted while others showed the wear of decades of play. Like the vintage rugs we curate, they carried the marks of a life well lived.

In true Rio fashion, the scene was delightfully unscripted. A curious chicken wandered into frame, becoming an unexpected co-star alongside the players and the city views beyond. Beneath the match play, we layered one-of-a-kind vintage rugs underfoot, creating a striking contrast between storied textiles and the energy of the game.
